Headshots & Portraits faqS
Retouches?
No retouching whatsoever is permitted for digitals.
Headshots packages include a first round pass of digital non-cosmetic cleanup before delivery to ensure you’re able to make the most use of as many images as possible without the need for additional retouching, eliminating tiny things like dust specks on your clothing that might distract from the eye. Four final print sized images are also included with each package.
Portraits sessions only include retouching on any two final images.
Additional retouched images can be purchased for $35 each.
Retouched images have a 7-14 day turnaround time, but can be rushed upon request.
Looks?
Wardrobe + lighting + background = a Look. Small tweaks like adding a jacket or glasses don’t count as new looks.
What If It Rains?
We shoot in-studio unless specifically requested otherwise during your consultation. So weather won’t affect your session. If you request location shots and rain occurs in such a way that it prohibits shooting, you’ll be offered a replacement session.
Can I Bring A Friend?
Of course! Especially consider doing so if you don’t plan on hiring a hair & makeup artist.
Hair & Makeup—Should You Hire My Artist?
Highly recommended — especially for women. Photography makeup is specialized, and the artist stays throughout the session for touch-ups, catching flyaways and making changes.
DIY Hair & Makeup?
No longer offered. Having someone on set to handle the additional close up details makes all the difference between getting good vs. outstanding images of you. Which is why all headshots packages come included with a professional HMUA. Outside HMUAs are welcome, but must arrive with you fully camera-ready.
Straight vs. Curly Hair?
Want both? Sure thing, just please let us know in advance.
